Daniel Sävborg
Since 2014 a research project on the topic ”Encountering the Otherworld in Medieval Nordic Literature”, financed by the Estonian Research Agency, is running at the University of Tartu. In the paper, the project leader Daniel Sävborg presents the aims and some of the outcomes of the project. Some main results, for example the distinction between learned and popular discourse as an explanation for some remarkable differences and characteristics of the description of the Supernatural in different Old Icelandic works, are more closely presented.
