On Wednesday, 10 April, at 19:00, the second University of Tartu Spring Run will take place.

Karoliine Laaneoja is currently pursuing her Master’s in the European Languages and Cultures programme. She outlined what she values most about her studies and the study environment.

At the university’s ceremony marking the anniversary of the Republic of Estonia, Henri Pokk, a master’s student of the University of Tartu, was announced the winner of the three rectors’ scholarship competition, which was held for the seventh time.

Based on the submitted proposals, the committee formed by the UT Student Union chose the recipients of the teaching staff of the year awards for 2023.

To apply, a motivation letter and an essay or a translated text on a given topic must be submitted.

From 29 July to 9 August 2024, the University of Tartu organises Estonian summer courses, where engaging cultural activities follow daily language lessons. 

The Bachelor’s Degree Ceremony of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities takes place on Thursday, 17 June, at 14.00 in the University of Tartu assembly hall (Ülikooli 18).

Master’s degree ceremony of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities takes place on Thursday, 20 June at 13.00 in the University of Tartu assembly hall (Ülikooli 18).

The theme week, running from 5 to 11 February, will include a social media campaign highlighting the work and achievements of women researchers.

From 29 January to 2 February, the international winter school "Survivance and Survival:  Theory and Method" will focus on the question of the survival of humanity by looking at it from the perspective of the humanities.

At the Career Day, students will have the chance to ask questions directly to our many internship partners, who represent museums, cultural institutions, and companies. You can learn about the available internship opportunities, the application process, the roles available for international students, and more. In addition to the fair, workshops will be available where you can get advice on finding a job or an internship.

International students can now apply to the European Languages and Cultures master’s programme. The application system closes on 15 March 2024.

The Faculty of Arts and Humanities provides a diverse range of optional courses, including options in English and various other languages.

From 15 December, all students and continuing education learners can sign up for language courses.

The University of Tartu will organise its alumni get-together with the slogan “Back to the university” on 18 May 2024. Early-bird tickets at special rates are available from 1 December.
