Sign up for language and culture courses - you can choose from 19 languages

Until 9 February 2025, all students can start registering for language courses in the study information system. All others interested in joining our courses are welcome to fill out their continuing education learner applications.

The University of Tartu Institute of Foreign Languages and Cultures offers various language courses for beginners, intermediate and advanced learners. In the spring of 2025, you can choose from 19 languages: Ancient Greek, Chinese, Czech, English, Estonian, French, German, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Russian, Spanish, Swedish and Ukrainian. In addition, we offer several cultural courses.

Registration for autumn semester language courses is open from 16 December to 9 February. Language lessons start in February and last until the end of May. Classes take place 1-2 times a week.
