There are different scholarships for Estonian summer courses held at the University of Tartu Institute of Foreign Languages and Cultures. Please note that the deadlines and application forms for scholarships may be different. Learn more about the conditions and application deadlines of the scholarships below.
Application period: from 1 February 2025 to 31 March 2025
Doctoral students of Tartu University can apply for a scholarship that covers the tuition fee, study materials, coffee breaks and daily culture programme (e.g. at least two museum visits). Accommodation costs and lunch breaks are not covered. In total, there are 30 scholarships available. The applicants must submit the summer course application form (includes a motivation letter approximately 1 A4 in length) by 31 March 2025.
Application period: from 6 March 2025 to 6 April 2025
The EKKAV scholarship for attending Estonian language and culture courses can be applied for by all international university students interested in the Estonian language and culture who are studying or have previously studied Estonian. The applicant has to be enrolled at a foreign university at the time of applying (BA, MA or PhD student). Application period: from 17 March 2025 to 16 April 2025
The call for summer school scholarship for courses taking place during 2025 is open from March 17 until April 16, 2025 (until 23:59 Estonian time). The scholarship will be awarded to students at all education levels in foreign higher education institutions for attending summer schools at Estonian universities.
