Eve Kosofsky Sedgwick’s (1997) call to replace paranoid reading with reparative one has found many acolytes in English-language literary criticism of the past decade. Yet, we simultaneously see the flourishing of conspiratorial thinking across the Internet and public sphere. The public seems to have become suspicious, while academics have abandoned what Rita Felski (2015) has termed “crrritique”. In this context, it is necessary to return to the value of critique and postcritique as not just scholarly but also political practices.
Everybody is welcome!
