Introduction to Dutch: a crash course

Dutch is a Germanic language with more than 23 million speakers in the Netherlands, Belgium, Suriname and the Caribbean, and thus the third largest Germanic language. On February 16th you will have the opportunity to learn some Dutch.

In 75 minutes, you will learn:

  • the difference between the Netherlands and Holland;
  • the difference between Dutch and Flemish;
  • how to introduce yourself in Dutch;
  • how to tell where you come from;
  • how to say where you live etc.

The crash course is conducted by Jacqueline Wassing, whose mother tongue is Dutch, but who teaches German as a foreign language at the University of Kiel (Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel).

Everyone is very welcome!
