The mentoring programme will be held again this autumn semester, welcoming students, alumni and university staff to apply until 23 September.

Optional courses in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities autumn 2024 are now open for registration.

Registration for language and culture courses is open until 1 September, and both students and all others interested in joining our courses are welcome.

In the coming academic year, singer, pianist and composer Kadri Voorand will become the new Professor of Liberal Arts at the University of Tartu, with a lecture course focusing on life-changing creation. She will be succeeded by Peeter Jalakas, former professor and director, who will participate in a public discussion titled “Feeling and meaning” in the attic hall of Tartu Cathedral on the evening of 23 May.

On 16 May, the Estonian Doctoral School Career Conference will be held in Tallinn to discuss the value of doctoral studies and the career prospects of doctoral students. All Estonian doctoral students and those interested in doctoral studies are welcome to attend.

The Bachelor’s Degree Ceremony of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities takes place on Thursday, 17 June, at 14.00 in the University of Tartu assembly hall (Ülikooli 18).

Master’s degree ceremony of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities takes place on Thursday, 20 June at 13.00 in the University of Tartu assembly hall (Ülikooli 18).

International students can now apply to the European Languages and Cultures master’s programme. The application system closes on 15 March 2024.

The Faculty of Arts and Humanities provides a diverse range of optional courses, including options in English and various other languages.
