Dallowday 2025

Dallowday 2025
Author:
Ave Palm

This spring, two key works of English literature celebrate the 100th anniversary of their first publication: F. Scott Fitzgerald’s Great American Novel The Great Gatsby and Virginia Woolf’s modernist masterpiece Mrs Dalloway.

To mark this great occasion, the English Department invites everyone to a short literary walk through summertime Tartu. The celebration will take place on a "Wednesday in mid-June" that marks the Dallowday dedicated to Woolf’s work. We will listen to excerpts from both works and spend time together in the company of 1920s literature.

We will gather for the Dallowday celebrations on 11 June at 16:00 (4 p.m.) in front of the Lossi 3 building, and then set off together. We will conclude the day in a cafe (location tbc closer to the date).

Please register your attendance via this link by May 29.
