Register for the language and culture courses starting this spring

Students, staff, and alumni of the University of Tartu, as well as adult language and culture enthusiasts from outside the university, are welcome to participate. Registration ends on 8 February 2026, and courses begin in February.

We offer language courses for beginners, intermediate, and advanced learners. This spring, it is possible to choose from 20 different languages: Estonian, Ancient Greek, Chinese, Czech, Danish, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, and Ukrainian. Additionally, various culture courses are also available.

Registration for spring semester courses runs from 15 December 2025 to 8 February 2026. University of Tartu students can register in the study information system. Continuing education learners are asked to submit an application to register.

Courses begin in February and continue until the end of May. Lessons usually take place once or twice a week.
