Study programmes

The undergraduate (BA) programmes all require a good command of the Estonian language, but the postgraduate programmes (MA and PhD) are welcome international applicants. 

3 Rectors' scholarship for speakers of Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian

In autumn 2017, the Rectors' Scholarship was established by the rectors of the University of Tartu, the University of Latvia and Vilnius University to promote the learning and teaching of Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian language and culture. The scholarship competition is open for all full-time students (including visiting students) of any curricula at the three universities. Applicants must know one of the Baltic countries’ languages (Estonian, Latvian or Lithuanian) at least at C1 level and the other two languages at least at A2 level. The amount of the annual scholarship is 2000 euros.
