The College of Foreign Languages and Cultures was formed on the 1st of January 2015 by joining the Institute of Germanic, Romance and Slavonic Languages and Literatures and the Language Centre. As a result, a new library was also created to unite the books and other items of all the former small subject libraries.
The College of Foreign Languages and Cultures has a large selection of various literature and publications. In addition to linguistics and literary studies, there is also a good selection of dictionaries, lexicons, fiction and various items on history, philosophy, religion, geography, and didactics.
All the books are available in the online catalogue ESTER. Visitors can borrow books with the UT library reader card or with their Estonian ID-card.
Since the autumn of 2020, the library of the College of Foreign Languages and Cultures is located in the Liivi 4 study building. The bright room has a search engine for readers and 10 workstations for on-site learning and reading.
